SACP retracts its statement relating to CEO of Heidelberg Hospital

HEIDELBERG - The South African Communist Party (SACP) hereby formally retracts its statement as published in HERAUT on July 1 (CEO's head must roll, claims SACP).

The SACP has also offered its unreserved apology towards the chief executive officer of Heidelberg Hospital, for any inconvenience and harm that may have been caused as a result of the statement.

The SACP has requested HERAUT to publish its retraction and to add the following statement:
“After publication of the previous statement, progressive and productive consultations took place between the SACP and the office of the CEO and we can confirm that both parties have agreed to a healthy working relationship that will encompass mutual respect, also towards the community, consultation and total regard of both corporate and clinical issues, which are the core of the hospital’s operation.
We have discussed our concerns and ironed out our differences and whereas some are yet to be dealt with, we are moving forward. Both parties will have continuous engagements,” Thembinkosi Pulu (district secretary: SACP Vaal district) said.
