Clean-Up Nigel volunteers hard at work
“We would really appreciate the time of the people of Nigel, if they could volunteer or even just give a small donation, in order for us to help keep the town clean.”
The I love Nigel team, which is well known for their mission of beautifying the small town, is still hard at work and looking for more volunteers.
The team kicked off the new year by cleaning the terrains of Nigel Town Hall and John Vorster Stadium.
“The continuous clean up of the town is really important as it was only a month since we had last clean up the Town Hall and there was so much dirt and litter to remove on Saturday,” said Roche Pepler, a member of the group.
“We sent requests for help on the I love Nigel social media pages and we were pleased with the volunteers who came to help us.
“Children were also accommodated. The children of the volunteers painted the stones while their parents worked,” Pepler said.
Pepler appealed to the people of Nigel in the hope of raising awareness and getting more support for the team.
Anyone who wants to get involved can do so by means of volunteering, bringing a gardener to help or just donate to the cause.
“Together we can restore the beauty of Nigel,” Pepler added.
