Lesedi Aerobics Movement sets 2026 fitness vision

Lesedi Aerobics Movement has outlined its plans for 2026, focusing on community wellness, inclusive fitness programmes and partnerships

Lesedi Aerobics Movement has outlined its vision and plans for 2026, focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening community bonds and expanding access to fitness programmes across Lesedi and surrounding communities.

According to one of the founders, Moeketsi Sebiloane, the organisation is committed to making fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

“The movement aims to encourage an active lifestyle through aerobics and structured fitness activities, while creating a supportive environment that brings people together. We want people to feel supported, motivated and connected as they work towards better health. Our vision is to build a strong, healthy community where fitness is not intimidating but welcoming to all ages and fitness levels,” he said.

Sebiloane said the movement plans to introduce targeted fitness programmes aimed at youth, women and the elderly.

“We are going to have high-energy classes for young people, wellness-focused programmes for women, and gentle exercise sessions designed to improve mobility and balance for senior citizens.

“New fitness offerings under consideration include Zone 2 training, a low-intensity aerobic workout focused on cardiovascular health, as well as mind-body programmes that combine physical activity with mindfulness and stress management. We also want to incorporate technology to help participants track their progress and remain accountable to their fitness goals,” he said.

Sebiloane added that the organisation is also looking to expand its programmes into more communities, particularly areas with limited access to fitness facilities.

“Plans are underway to partner with local schools, municipalities and community centres to host outdoor and public workout sessions, ensuring that health and wellness initiatives reach underserved areas.

Community engagement remains a priority to us and events such as the Meet & Greet Workout play an important role in bringing people together, promoting health awareness and encouraging participation,” he said.
