Two sentenced to 40 years
The two 29-year-olds were found guilty in a case of hijacking and attempted murder.

Solomon Ngoma and Tshepo Mmorosi were sentenced to 40 years’ imprisonment on November 16.
The sentencing was handed down by the Nigel Magistrate Court after the two men were found guilty of hijacking and attempted murder.
On June 13, 2018, the two men stopped a local taxi after which they hijacked the driver and shot him in the head.
The driver survived the incident and was taken to the Pholosong Hospital.
The two men were arrested in Tsakani and the firearm used in the crime was recovered along with the hijacked vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Knox Motabeni of the Duduza SAPS led the investigation.
“This conviction and many more are the direct results of hard work and dedication by our members,” said Duduza SAPS station commander Lieutenant Colonel Sarah Mofokeng.
Mofokeng applauded the dedication of the members involved in the case.
