Heidelberg SAPS weekly crime report: Toyota Prado stolen in Heidelberg CBD

From a stolen vehicle in the CBD to cable theft in outlying areas, police reports highlight ongoing crime concerns across Heidelberg.

The following crimes were reported to Heidelberg SAPS between April 6 to 12.

These statistics are shared to create community awareness about current crime trends in the area.

Sector 1

(Bergsig, Blinkpoort, Eendracht, Groenfontein, Heidelberg Army Gymnasium, Heidelberg Kloof, Klippoortjie, Koppieskraal, Overkruin, Poortjie, Rooikraal, and rural areas – Spaarwater and Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve):

• Groenfontein – General theft, Heidelberg Mall, April 10 at 13:20.

Property involved: Money.

Sector 2

(Boschfontein, Heidelberg CBD, Heidelberg Central, Jordaan Park, Klipstapel, Mount Arabel, Shalimar Ridge and Schickfontein):

• Boschfontein – Business buglary, Boschfontein, April 10 at 19:00.

• Heidelberg CBD – Theft of motor vehicle, Begeman Street, April 10 at 10:50.

• Shalimar Ridge – Business robbery, Sager Street, undisclosed date 17:25.

• Heidelberg CBD – General theft, Jordaan Street, April 9 at 12:09.

• Heidelberg Central – Van der Westhuizen Street, April 8 at 12:50.

• Sedaven – Damage to essential infrastructure, April 7 at 18:00.

Property involved: Tools, Toyota Prado, money, jewellery, food, cellphone, and copper cable.

Sector 3

(Bothaskraal, De Hoek, Houtpoort, Rensburg, Lagerspoort, Modderfontein and Steynskraal):

• Lagerspoort – Business burglary, April 6 at 10:00.

Property involved: Copper cable.
