The mobile operator recently entered into a collaboration with the skills development educational facility.

On April 30, MTN visited the school and enjoyed a morning with the teachers and learners.

The teachers do their utmost to give each learner specialised attention. With JJ Masipa being a skills school, each learner has specific skills and futures they are working towards.

The message conveyed on the day was that all learners should work hard to achieve the best results in school and be successful outside of the school walls.

Various dignitaries were in attendance, including MTN regional staff members and Gauteng MEC representative, Patricia Ndindwa.

“Education is important and that is what makes each learner into what they will become later in life. We want to come in and be part of the school and assist in areas where we can. We want to ensure that the learners are connected to the school wherever they go in life.”

Ndindwa said, “Hold onto your faith and beliefs. It will carry you through difficult times. Technology is the future for all learners. Walk tall and work hard. Today’s education is tomorrow’s future.”

In conclusion, JJ Masipa Technical School principal Olive Nyobole thanked everyone for attending.
