Athletes from Laerskool Hannes Visagie are set to represent their school at the Gauteng Athletics Championships, which will take place from March 13 to 14 at the Herman Immelman Stadium in Germiston.

The learners secured their places at the provincial championships after delivering strong performances during the qualifying athletics events earlier this season.

Their qualification gives them the opportunity to compete against some of the top young athletes from schools across the province.

Coach Mikyla Jordaan praised the athletes for their commitment and the hard work they have shown throughout the athletics season.

“We are incredibly proud of our athletes for qualifying for the Gauteng Championships. They have worked very hard throughout the season and have shown great dedication and discipline during training.

“Competing at this level is a wonderful achievement, and we are excited to see them represent Laerskool Hannes Visagie and give their very best on the track and field,” she said.
