Davel farmers and police have united and formed a Rural Safety Forum that will guard against stock theft, farm killings and burglary, among others.

This partnership will see farmers and police patrolling Davel farms and surroundings together to fight the ongoing crime taking place. This is a national intervention to strengthen relationships and restore confidence between farmers and police.

The farmers’ patrol cars will be fitted with stickers for identification. The partnership has already borne fruit with the arrest of suspects for diesel theft last week. Farmers belonging to other forums are welcome to join.
