BETHAL – Thokozane Soko, a singer, better known as Petla the LBC, has returned to his music career after struggling with drugs.
He got hooked on drugs in 2005 and went to a rehabilitation centre in 2013.
“I am a foster child and my parents have passed away, so I decided that it was time to stop doing drugs,” he said.
He was in the rehabilitation centre for three weeks and recovered quickly.
Music is food for his soul and that was why he wanted to recover from drugs.
Petla writes his own songs and is now working on his first solo album, Air Pollution.
His music is inspired by his forefathers and his own life.
“I want to represent myself to the public,” Petla said.
