For some strange and unknown reason the driver of this truck decided to use the two-track gravel road next to the tarred road in Oos Street.
His journey was cut short when a tree branch got wedged in between the two trailers.
What was presumably supposed to be a shortcut resulted in the driver having to spend a few more hours in Ermelo.
The driver insists that traffic officials told him to use the gravel road, but an officer from the Msukaligwa Traffic Department listened to his story and shook his head in disbelief.
“Why would they tell him to drive on the gravel road while there’s a tarred road right next to it?” he wondered.
The driver borrowed a saw and an axe to cut the branches that interrupted his journey.
