Motorists warned of roadworks

Wonder Shongwe, Community Liaison Officer,Breyten.

Wonder Shongwe, Community Liaison Officer,Breyten:
With the road works currently underway on R36 road between Breyten and Ermelo, there are areas with gravel and deep excavations, users are urged to drive with caution and care.
We appeal to motorists to reduce speed and avoid unnecessary accidents. The contractor is doing all it can to limit the dust by spraying water on the gravel roads.
Truck drivers are also encouraged to lower their speed as their trucks lives behind a cloud of dust, making it difficult for other road users.
We also encourage road users to respect the employees at our stop and go points. Members of the public can use the alternative routes that have been provided excluding the Transnet route as it is strictly private.
