Warning on bogus police

The KwaZanele Community Policing Forum (CPF) is warning members of the community to be on the look-out for people posing as police.
This comes after four men in civilian clothes approached one of the CPF members at his home in the evening. They claimed to be investigating a case against him.
According to the source who is known to the newspaper, the four men did not want to show him their badges properly and wanted to go into the house to search without a search warrant.
He then contacted a local police officer and the four man ran away after realising he was talking to the police.
The community is warned of these suspects driving a black BMW.
When the police traced the vehicle’s registration plates, they were found to be invalid…
