Campus celebrates 10 years in existence

Gert Sibande TVET College, Sibanesetfu Campus celebrated its 10th year anniversary since it first opened its doors in 2005 in Dundonald, Glenmore.
Principal and CEO Mr Nick Balkrishen took the guests down memory lane of the campuses’ history with a collage of photos captured from their first intake in 2005. The campus started of with 22 students in 2005 and has since grown to 1129 students in 2014, from four lectures to 80 lectures currently and from a mere R300 000.00 for bursaries to a staggering R10 million last year.
Dr Raymond Patel, CEO of merSETA delivered the key note address where he applauded the campus management and the college as a whole for the sterling job they’ve done for the past decade. He also encouraged staff and management to upskill themselves so as to keep up with the ever changing world of technology, new innovations and ways of doing things.
He also emphasized the need for the college to always align itself with current economical needs and align their curriculum to address the current economical demands.
