The Minister of Public Works Thulas Nxesi will be launching the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) National Artisan Development Programme at the Lynville Stadium in Emalahleni today at 09.00
The programme is in partnership between the National Department of Public Works (NDPW) EPWP and the Manufacturing Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training (MERSETA) to develop scarce skills among the youth in various artisan trades such as Boilermaking, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter and Tuner and Motor Mechanic.
Minister Nxesi will also lead the media through a tour to FL Smidth Buffalo (Pty) Ltd where the EPWP participants are placed for experiential learning.
This initiative is part of the Government’s Youth Month Programme to move the country’s youth forward
