Piet Piek, an ex-resident of Ermelo where he lived for 40 years, passed away in Bethal on 22 January at the age of 70.

He was described by his wife as an exceptional husband and friend, who displayed characteristics of sacrifice, support, understanding, faithfulness, strength and a God-given love.
An honouring service to celebrate the life of Piet will be held by the Gateway City Church at the Grasslands Conference Centre, 34 Orchid Street, Bethal on Wednesday 3 February at 11:00.
