The Commission of Inquiry into the socio-economic conditions of farm dwellers heared chilling stories from farm dwellers leaving around Msukaligwa Municipality.
This was at the public hearing in Msukaligwa Local Municipality Hall in Ermelo, hosted by the premier’s office.
More than 25 dwellers gave appalling conditions they live in and how some of them were badly treated by farmers.
Many farm dwellers reported cases where farmers reduce grazing land for their livestock, no access to basic needs.
The audience was shocked by Mr Koos Mtsweni’s story from Piksdal in Bethal. He was chased out of a farm where he lived from childhood in-which his forefathers owned a portion.
