A TB patient has died in Standerton Hospital after he escaped from the medical institution.
Manqoba Maseko (28) from Breyten allegedly jumped over the palisade fence and ran towards the Vaal River about two kilometers away from the hospital.

The SAPS diving unit were alerted and started the search for the body on Thursday.
A task team to investigate the incident has already been appointed.
