Illegal miner dies in rockfall
Despite knowing of the risks involved, illegal miners continue to risk their lives by tunneling deep into the rockface.
Police spokesman for Ermelo, Capt Carla Prinsloo has confirmed that an illegal miner was killed in a rockfall at the disused Mbabala coal mine near Klipbou on Saturday afternoon.
The name and age of the deceased had not yet been released by the time of going to press.
