MEC Ngomane appeals to motorists

There will be zero tolerance towards recklessness and negligent driving during this festive season.

Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Pat Ngomane has sent a warning to drunk drivers and speedsters that there would be zero tolerance towards recklessness and negligent driving during this festive season.

In a statement, Ngomane said motorists disobeying the rules of the road will be dealt with harshly to demonstrate government’s zero tolerance towards noncompliance with traffic rules and regulations.

Ngomane launched the National Safer Festive Season Operations at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Thembisile Hani Local Municipality where he said his department’s law enforcement officers will work together with the police to ensure that road crashes and crime levels are reduced during the holiday season.
