Msukaligwa ANC remembers Ms Winnie Mandela in memorial at Wesselton Methodist Church
The African National Congress (ANC) in the Gert Sibande District Municipality in the Msukaligwa sub-district held a memorial service at the Methodist Church in Wesselton on Thursday, 12 April, for the late ANC stalwart, Ms Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
The African National Congress (ANC) in the Gert Sibande District Municipality in the Msukaligwa sub-district held a memorial service at the Methodist Church in Wesselton on Thursday, 12 April, for the late ANC stalwart, Ms Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
The church was filled to the brim as attendees sang songs of worship as well as struggle songs about Ms Mandela.
A condolence book was passed around the church where attendees could write messages of support and condolences.
Ms Mandela died at the Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg on 2 April at the age of 81.
She suffered from diabetes and had recently undergone several major surgeries.
Her public funeral service was held at Orlando Stadium on 14 April and her body was interred at a cemetery in Fourways in the north of Johannesburg.
