The condition of Oostehuise Street is quickly deteriorating after angry protesters literally left their mark in December 2019.
A protest took place in Oostehuise Street where protesters set fire to tires and barricaded the road.
As a result of these fires, the road is deteriorating.
On the day of the protest, police officials tried putting out fires and clearing the road for traffic.
However, they were hampered in doing so after bricks were thrown at them and barricades were put up.
Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman of Msukaligwa Municipality, said at the time, the damage will not be immediately visible however, the roads’ quality is now compromised.
