Resealing work begins on three Carolina roads

Resealing work has begun on three roads in Carolina as part of the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality’s ongoing road maintenance programme.

CAROLINA – Resealing work on Market Street, Taxi Rank Road and Prinsloo Street began on August 6.

The project focuses on repairing deteriorating road surfaces and includes milling and resurfacing existing asphalt layers, applying new road markings and other road infrastructure improvements.

According to the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, the work will help extend the lifespan of the roads and provide safer and more reliable routes for motorists, taxi operators, pedestrians and local businesses.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to take care when travelling through the affected areas and to heed temporary road signs and traffic arrangements.

Access to businesses and properties will be maintained as far as possible, although minor delays may occur during the construction period.
