Gert Sibande District Municipality hosted the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) strategic planning session in Manzana on 27 January.
The planning for the 2020/2021 financial year is in line with the approved framework of the district.
The framework consists of five phases namely: analysis phase, strategy phase, projects phase, integration phase and approval phase.
Ms Bongi ka Dube, communications manager for Gert Sibande District Municipality, said, the analysis phase has been completed as all local municipalities in the district were consulted through public participation.
“GSDM is now at the strategy phase whereby, various areas which are crucial for the consolidation of a credible IDP will be looked at. ”
