Carolina Police arrested 15 men without passports or training documents

The driver of a white Toyota Quantum was fined R2 000 for overloading, as it transported 25 men.

Carolina Police arrested 15 men for entering South-African borders in contravention of the immigration Act 13 of 2002, at a road block in Carolina on 28 February.

According to Const Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, they were on their way to Johannesburg.

He added that none of the men had passports or training documents in their possession.

Const Mokwana said: “The suspects are detained at Carolina Police station and first appeared in the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on 2 March.
