Fire and Rescue teams disinfect municipal offices as staff return

Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality Disaster Management recently fumigated the municipal offices and other workstations of the municipality.

The Fire and Rescue teams of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality have been disinfecting municipal offices since the announcement of the level 4 lockdown.

According to Mr Thapelo Phetla, spokesman for Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, all municipal offices situated in Emanzana, Elukwatini, Empuluzi, Ekulindeni and Carolina have been disinfected.

“This was done as certain services with the prescribed third of the workforce, have resumed their duties on 1 May.”

Mr Phetla said the municipality appreciates all the residents’ efforts in adhering to the regulations.

“We urge the community to wear their masks and when possible to stay at home to ensure their own safety.”
