South African Local Government Association and Old Mutual donate hygienic items to neediest municipalities

Executive mayor councillor Muzi Chirwa of the Gert Sibande District Municipality and who is also the Salga Mpumalanga chairman handed over the donated items to Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Local Municipality on 6 May.

The South African Local Government Association (Salga) in Mpumalanga, in partnership with Old Mutual, donated hygiene material to three of the neediest local municipalities in the province.

Each District Municipality was requested to identify the neediest local municipality in the district as beneficiaries for these items.

The three district municipalities collected the items on behalf of the identified municipalities.

Executive mayor councillor Muzi Chirwa of the Gert Sibande District Municipality and who is also the Salga Mpumalanga chairman handed over the donated items to Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Local Municipality on 6 May.

The other donated items will be handed over to Nkomazi Local Municipality within the Ehlanzeni district as well to the Dr JS Moroka and Thembisile Hani local municipality within the Nkangala district.
