Ermelo residents flock to voting stations to make their marks

The stations opened at 7:00 and will be closing at 21:00. 

ERMELO – Residents are queueing and making their marks at various voting stations in Ermelo on November 1.

The stations opened this morning at 7:00 and will be closing at 21:00.

According to Ms Cynthia Mhlanga, member of the ANC who was located at the Ermelo Sport Inn voting station, people came out in their numbers to make their mark early this morning.

While the Highvelder visited the voting stations it was for the most part quiet and the queues were not that long.

Mr Sechaba Manasoe, member of the IEC at JJ van der Merwe, said that the approximate waiting time outside when queuing is two to three minutes and inside the voting station it takes about five minutes.

Ermelo police officials are monitoring the voting station at Ermelo Sport Inn as well as JJ van der Merwe.

Resident who wish to vote, can visit the following voting stations in Ermelo:

• Ermelo Sport Inn

• Msukaligwa Municipality

• Cassim Park Hall

• Ithafa Secondary School

• JJ van der Merwe

• Gert Sibande College
