Four day power outage planned for Ermelo

The outage will begin on Friday, November 19 at 06:00 until Monday, November 22 at 16:00.

ERMELO – Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM) has issued a notice for a four day planned power interruption.

The outage will begin on Friday, November 19 at 06:00 until Monday, November 22 at 16:00.

According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman for MLM the scope of the work include the replacement of the 11KV indoor switch gears at the 88/11KV substation in Ermelo, Extension 18.

The affected areas are:

  •  Portions of Ext 14, Netherland Park and Industrial Area.
  • Portions of John Voater Park and CBD area 1.
  • Portions of Wesselton Ext5, Old Wesselton  GSDM offices, Ermelo Provincial Hospital, Portions of De Bruin Park and Nooitgedacht Estate.
  • Ermelo Ext 32, 33,34, Nomndeni (Autumn Ridge)

“The municipality would like to advise residents to consider all electrical points live during the interruption,” Mr Zwane said.
