ERMELO – There is a growing number of potholes that are getting bigger and deeper, making it increasingly difficult to drive on certain roads in town.

Potholes are now taking on alarming proportions, and recent rain has contributed to the problem.

It’s not surprising that the sobriety of motorists are called for if one assesses how potholes need to be navigated.

Thanks to community initiatives, some potholes have been repaired, albeit temporarily.

The main thoroughfares of the town also leave little room for the imagination from the standpoint of a tourist or investor.

As reported by a business website, South Africa’s transport minister Fikile Mbalula said 80% of the country’s roads have reached the end of their design lives.
