According to a government gazette released on Wednesday, South Africa’s Health Minister Joe Phaahla has lifted the nation’s final coronavirus-related restrictions.

The wearing of masks, restrictions on gathering sizes, and border inspections for Covid-19 are a few of these.

Phaahla is said to have requested earlier this week that the limits be lifted in light of the decrease in hospitalisations and reported coronavirus cases.

Residents who picked up their weekly Highvelder appeared more energized and joyful as a result of this decision.

“Finally, we can breathe again,” one person exclaimed.
