Highvelder’s Cupcakes for cancer is the sweetest way to support children with cancer

Highvelder invites any avid bakers who wish to make a donation to bake 12 or 24 cupcakes, that can be handed in at the offices on September 28.

ERMELO – For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Highvelder will partner with Cupcakes of Hope to host a fundraising event in honour of children fighting cancer.

The event will take place on Thursday September 29 at the Highvelder offices at 43 Kerk Street.

Highvelder staff have pledged to bake 250 cupcakes to be sold at the office.

We would, however, like to match the 1 000 sold during our previous event, and need the community’s help to make a difference.

Cupcakes of Hope is celebrating its 10th birthday by calling all bakers to bake in honour of lost loved ones and cancer survivors.

While childhood cancer is a challenging journey, this event offers a fun and rewarding way for residents to help those who are currently undergoing treatment.

Cupcakes will be sold at R5 each, however, any donations are welcome.

Early warning signs that your child might have cancer.

All proceeds will go to Cupcakes of Hope.

The funds raised will enable Cupcakes of Hope to continue the much-needed support it provides to hundreds of young cancer patients and their families every month.

This includes covering their medical bills and other essential needs, from nappies to nutrition and everything in between.

Since 2021, the number of patients supported by this organisation has doubled.

Last month alone, over 240 young cancer patients received financial assistance, with the youngest being only five months old.

Together with the support of the Ermelo community, we can “bake” a difference!

Cupcakes of Hope is a community-driven project that achieves its objectives through the love of baking cupcakes, community participation and amazing events.
