Cansa hosts Shavathon at Merino Mall
Many survivors and fighters' family members joined in the fun, but the day also reminded them of the massive battle they or their family members are facing.
ERMELO – Participants had great fun during the Cansa Shavathon at the Merino Mall on February 25.
The volunteers, who were taking part in the event for the first time, were ready at 09:00 with spray paint, stencils and clippers. They initially seemed hesitant to pick up the spray cans, but quickly unleashed their creativity on the willing participants’ hair.
As the shoppers entered the mall, they could not resist the chance to make a difference for those who fight the battle against cancer.
Numerous family members of survivors and fighters joined in the fun, but the day also reminded them of the massive battle they or their family members are facing.
According to one of the volunteers, Sonja Kirk, the day was a great success, and she thanked everyone who supported the initiative.
