Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services attend to house fire in Ermelo

Bystanders, drawn by the clouds of smoke, stood in awe as they watched the fire causing extensive damage to one section of the property.

ERMELO – Smoke bellowed from a house at 34 Jannie de Waal Street during a fire on March 22.

The Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services arrived shortly after being called, and the firefighters managed to quickly put out the flames, minimising the damage.

An unattended clothing iron is thought to be the probable cause, according a trusted source.

“No injuries were reported, because the home’s occupants fled as soon as they saw the fire.”
