ERMELO – Emergency services found two bodies at an illegal mine outside Ermelo earlier today.

Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services, Ermelo police, EMS and ER24 were dispatched to the scene.

It was first suspected that there was an explosion at the mine, and that more people were trapped inside.

Preliminary investigation by authorities however, suggests that it was not the case.

Police are investigating the incident.
