The municipality urges anyone who has been contacted by this imposter to report the incident to the SAPS immediately.

The office of the municipal manager of Msukaligwa Municipality issued a scam alert on June 22, warning the public about a fraudulent individual who has been sending out deceptive emails using his name.

The municipality emphasised in a public statement that it does not engage in any form of communication, be it emails or phone calls, to solicit money from companies or individuals for tenders or employment opportunities.

The fraudulent imposter has reportedly been requesting money to be deposited into a Capitec account under the name ‘MT Mathebula’.

The municipality urges anyone who has been contacted by this imposter to report the incident to the SAPS immediately. This is crucial in order to prevent further individuals from falling victim to this scam.
