Ambulance transporting patient crashes through school fence after collision

The impact of the accident left the ambulance traveling towards the fence of Ligbron Academy of Technology, where it crash through the fence. 

ERMELO – An accident involving a car and an ambulance, which was transporting a patient, occurred at the intersection of Kerk and Voortrekker Street earlier today.

The driver of the car sustained injuries and has been admitted to Ermelo Provincial Hospital.

Paramedics from Midmed Ambulance Services, along with the patient they were transporting, fortunately remained uninjured.

The exact cause of the accident is still unknown at this time.

Responding to the scene were Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue, Ermelo police, the traffic department, Provincial Ambulance Services, ER24, and various towing services.
