Ermelo DJ gives back to the community
Known for his philanthropic efforts, he hosts two annual charity events, named Hat a Kid and Warm a Grootman Hustler and the disabled.
A local civil engineer, Bongumusa Mtsweni, or known as DJ Mustafa Black, is giving back to the community, helping those in need, by donating clothes from his clothing line Kasi Deep (SA).
Mtsweni’s clothing line, which started as a local venture in Ermelo, has now gained popularity, not only across town, but throughout South Africa. The success of his brand can be attributed to his unique and innovative approach, which draws inspiration from his love of deep house music, a genre he passionately mixes as a DJ.
While his thriving business ventures occupy a significant portion of his life, Mtsweni is deeply committed to giving back to society. Known for his philanthropic efforts, he hosts two annual charity events, named Hat a Kid and Warm a Grootman Hustler and the disabled.

Through Hat a Kid, Mtsweni identifies daycare centres for underprivileged children and donates his branded beanies, providing warmth and comfort during the colder months. Meanwhile, Warm a Grootman Hustler and the disabled Mtsweni, aims to support those who perform odd jobs to sustain themselves. To these individuals he donates sweaters and essentials.
For Mtsweni, success is not only measured in business achievements, but also in the positive impact he can make in he lives of others. He strongly believes that every individual has the power to uplift their community, no matter how big or small their contribution may be.
