ERMELO – It’s almost time to say prost at the Indawo Oktoberfest, set to take place at Indawo Game Ranch on October 6 and 7.

Gates will open the Friday at 12:00 with entertainment and fun activities to continue until late on Saturday night.

During the first Oktoberfest in 2022, more than 800 people attended.

In order for the organisers to make this year’s event another success, they need financial help from local businesses, co-marketing and support to entertain the whole community.

Besides the stalls, local performers will entertain guests during the day and the entertainer, Piet Pompies, will perform from 19:00 on Friday.

A potjiekos business challenge will be held where all interested businesses can join in to battle it out to be crowned the potjie champions for 2023.

Saturday will kick off with Laerskool JJ Van Der Merwe’s annual gong shooting event.

Jay & Leanie May’s performance on Saturday will start at 20:00.

Some of the other activities residents can look forward to includes: rodeo, a beer tent, various kegs on tap, mechanical bull, pony rides and jumping castles.
