VIDEO – Traffic chaos in Ermelo after multi-vehicle accident in Church and Oosthuise Street

ERMELO – Emergency services responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision at the Church and Oosthuise Street intersection, where two bakkies collided, and one of them overturned and crashed into a truck transporting LP gas.

The accident occurred earlier today, August 27, at about 11:10.

Initial reports suggest one of the vehicles ran a red light before the collision.

The incident has caused traffic congestion, and the extent of injuries is still unknown.

Emergency medical services, police, traffic officials, the Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services, and local towing services also responded to the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes until the scene has been cleared and the road is safe to travel on.
