Ermelo SAPS seeks help to identify pedestrian killed on Breyten Road

Ermelo SAPS is asking the public to help identify a man who died after being struck by a vehicle on the Breyten Road near Emplazeni.

ERMELO — The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Ermelo is appealing to community members for assistance following a fatal pedestrian accident on the Breyten Road near Eplazini.

The incident occurred on Saturday, December 20, at about 21:30, when a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

The man died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Police have not yet been able to identify the deceased or trace his family and are requesting help from the public.

At the time of the accident, the deceased was wearing a red T-shirt, a dark blue jacket, and white and green shorts with a distinctive leaf pattern.

Anyone who may have information that could assist police in identifying the deceased or locating his family is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Sydney Nkambule on 082 373 8389 or 017 819 2321.
