Visitors, vendors and local organisations came together for a day celebrating community spirit despite challenging weather conditions.

ERMELO – Despite icy winter temperatures, the Ermelo community turned out in impressive numbers today to support the annual Ermelo Toyota Legend Fest, proving once again that the event has become a highlight on the local calendar.

Community support overcomes winter chill

The event once again showcased Ermelo Toyota’s commitment to bringing the community together while supporting worthy causes through a day of entertainment, sport and family-friendly activities.

A variety of local businesses, organisations and vendors contributed to the festive atmosphere, while visitors braved the cold conditions to enjoy the activities and show their support.

Cupcake campaign receives record community response

One of the highlights of the day was the overwhelming community response to the Highvelder’s cupcake fundraising initiative.

Community members answered the call in remarkable fashion, donating a record number of cupcakes for the event.

The Highvelder would like to extend its sincere gratitude to every individual, family, business and organisation that contributed cupcakes, as well as everyone who supported the sales throughout the day.

The cupcakes that remained unsold were donated to the CMR Child and Youth Care Centre, ensuring that every contribution continued to make a difference and that the initiative’s charitable purpose extended beyond the festival itself.

The response demonstrated the generosity and community spirit for which Ermelo is well known.

Organisers thank community for support

Organisers expressed their appreciation to all participants, sponsors, vendors and visitors whose support contributed to another successful edition of the Ermelo Toyota Legend Fest.

“I would like to thank each and every person who braved the cold weather to attend and support the Legend Fest. Without the support of our community, events like these would not be possible. Your enthusiasm, loyalty and continued support mean so much to us and play a significant role in our success. On behalf of Ermelo Toyota, thank you for making this year’s Legend Fest another memorable occasion,” Theressa van der Walt, Ermelo Toyota Knight, said.

Despite the winter chill, the warm community spirit on display throughout the day ensured the event remained a memorable occasion, once again highlighting the strong partnerships between local businesses, organisations and residents.

With another successful Legend Fest concluded, organisers can reflect on a day that celebrated fitness, family, motoring and community involvement while continuing to make a positive impact in Ermelo.
