NOTICE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS
Environmental Authorisation Application in terms of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 and National Water Act 36 of 1998 for the proposed establishment of a feedlot, near Emalahleni, Mpumalanga Province
Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 41 of the EIA Regulation of 2014, (as amended in 2017) read with the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998, as well as Regulation 267 of the National Water Act 36 of 1998 of the following:
SSS Properties (Pty) Ltd is applying for Environmental Authorisation (EA) and a Water Use License for the proposed establishment of a feedlot with a carrying capacity of 20 000 units, on portion 124 of the farm Doornpoort 312-JS, approximately 3km east of Emalahleni, (Coordinates: 2552`29.62″S 2917`44.42″E).
Application for EA will be submitted to the Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) and an application for a Water Use License (WUL) will be submitted to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS).
