Ermelo RC Club climb the ranks at racing competition

“Ermelo RC Club entered five drivers in this event,” he said.

ERMELO – Ermelo Remote Control (RC) Club members competed in the Gauteng on-road RC Series over the weekend of September 4.

According to Wors Breytenbach, vice chairman of the club, the weekend was epic as entrants from KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, the Western Cape and Mpumalanga were in attendance.

“Ermelo RC Club entered five drivers in this event,” he said.

In the 21.5 Class, Oros van der Walt finished in sixth place and Kenny Collins in eighth.

Breytenbach finished first in the Euro Truck Class and Riaan van Rooyen was fourth.

Breytenbach now has three wins in a row after this series.

In the GT Mods Class, John Steyne, one of Ermelo RC Club’s top drivers, finished eighth out of the top 10 drivers in South Africa.

The next race will take place at Trap Raceway in Pretoria on October 31.
