Rally racers put up a show in Ermelo
In third place were Ronnie Botes of Puma Energy racing team and his navigator, Edward Strydom, of Ermelo.
The fifth and final round of the Womza National Rally Championship (WNRC) took place in Ermelo on November 12 and 13.
The racers had a blast at the various stages around town, each with their own challenges.

With the 2021 WNRC Championship now concluded, Ermelo’s Johan Strauss and his navigator, Elzaan Venter, in their Subaru Impreza were crowned the overall champions.
Johan de Bruin and JP Jordaan took second place and Kenneth Venter and his daughter, Kemaine Venter, were third.

At the end of the first day of the WNRC iNews 150 Rally the dynamic duo, Strauss and Venter, led the pack with a time of 35;49.
Hot on their wheels were Vladimir Sibirko and his navigator Danie Rossouw in their Subaru Impreza.
They came in just under a minute short of the leading team with a time of 36;47.
In third place were Ronnie Botes of Puma Energy racing team and his navigator, Edward Strydom, of Ermelo.

The overall standings after the second day of racing, Strauss and Venter were still in first place with an impressive time of 01:31;09.
With a time of 01:33;20 the Puma Energy racing team, Botes and Strydom, took second and Sibirko and Rossouw were third.
