Evening of froggy fun at Kloof Memorial Park
Join one of SA’s leading frog experts, Dr Jeanne Tarrant from the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Threatened Amphibian Programme in conjunction with Kloof Conservancy, at Memorial Park on Saturday, 28 February from 5pm to 8.30pm for a fun-filled evening.
Children’s activities include face-painting, colouring -in, leap-frog competitions and interactive learning games.
At 6.15pm – there will be a talk entitled “Going Green for Frogs – Leap Day 2015” by Dr Tarrant. The talk will focus on local species. This will be followed by a quiz with spot prizes after which there will be a guided walk to hear and see frogs in the park. Bring gumboots and torches for the frog walk.
Entry fee at the Scout Hall R20 adults, R10 Children – all funds to EWT Threatened Amphibian Programme. There will be a tuck-shop with wors rolls and chicken burgers on sale or bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn in the Park.
