Snake talk

Hillcrest Conservancy will host a “Getting to Know the Neighbours” snake talk on Saturday, 21 September from 9am to 11am at Springside Nature Reserve, Springside Road, Hillcrest

Pat McKrill, author of Getting to Know the Neighbours, will be running a two-hour course on common species recognition and what to do with the snakes that come into our gardens – aside from killing them. This course is designed to help the phobics to overcome their fears and to educate homeowners and their staff and any service industry staff who might be called upon to deal with a ‘snake incident’.

Cost of the course: R40 per adult, children under 12 years, R20.

BYO refreshments. Picnic tables, benches, braai and other facilities available
