Park at Palmiet Nature Reserve in Old New Germany Road on Saturday, 3 March at 5.45am and hike this awesome nature reserve with refreshments after at Nino’s in the shopping centre in Jan Hofmeyer. Contact Lorraine on 082 726 7787.

On Sunday, 4 March, hike Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. Hike down to stream and to base of Kloof falls and back. Meet at 2pm at Kloof Falls picnic site, Kloof Falls Drive Kloof. Reserve entrance R30. Contact Lawson on 071 460 3529.

Palmiet Nature Reserve
Join birding expert Bob Rickards for an interesting two-hour trail in the Palmiet Nature Rerserve on Sunday, 4 March.The trail will leave from the car park of the reserve in Old New Germany Road, Westville, at the earlier time of 7.30am, and all are welcome.There is no charge but donations for the reserve upkeep are appreciated. Hike Pigeon Valley (Glenwood) on Saturday, 3 March. Some street walking to the pretty little Pigeon Valley Nature Reserve, with some steep hills going up to St Augustine’s Hospital and the University. Drinks afterwards at a nearby pub. Meet at 1.45pm at Stella Sports Club, (175 Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road), Glenwood.
