‘Pawed’ beers raise funds for Kloof SPCA

The fund-raiser celebrated its second year with much fanfare as it was even bigger and better.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA was brimming with excited supporters at its annual Ales for Tails fund-raiser event at the weekend.

Tickets were sold out, beer glasses were filled and refilled as Highway residents made the most of the cloudless day, relaxing on the lawns or under the marquee.

There were more than 50 passionate home brewers pouring their unique beer blends to help raise funds for the organisation.

There was also a host of food stalls and local acts to create a memorable day out.

The Kloof and Highway SPCA’s, Lisa Mörck, said, “A special thank you to Tops Old Highway, Tops Village Vineyard and Tops Hillcrest for sponsoring this amazing event. To the brewers for donating their home brews to help raise funds, our staff, volunteers, donors and sponsors for their contribution in making this event possible and to everyone who came and enjoyed the day with us, thank you.”
