Amazing Race provides day of fun

The fourth annual Kloof 190 Amazing Race provided a fun day for the 16 teams who took part in the many challenges on the day

SIXTEEN teams participated in the fourth annual Kloof Round Table 190 Amazing Race on Saturday, starting and ending at the Kloof Civic Hall.

It was a fun-filled, team building event which saw the teams of four racing around the upper highway completing challenges, solving puzzles and finding clues in order to be crowned the victors. Challenges included things like Fowl Throw, Flapjack Flipper, Pub Quiz, Happy Wacker and Disco Dangerous.

Teams were encouraged to dress up, and the winning team was the Afro Circus, who sported colourful clown attire and stayed in costume throughout the day despite the intense heat.

Teams acquired bonus points by bringing along pet food. A staggering 96kgs of pet food was collected for the Kloof & Highway SPCA.

The overall winners were The Cestidos, followed by Titanium Tarts and third place went to The Lost Raiders of Kloof.

SECOND place went to Titanuim Tarts - Kerry Louwrens, Dawn Richards, Esmeralda Erasmus and Carrie McAuley.
