New puppy run for SPCA

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA has finally raised enough funds to build its puppy run to cater for the puppies that come into its care.

The SPCA has been planning the project for some time, as the plans have been severely delayed over the past three years with an increase in the costs expected and change in the initial building plans.

“There have been a number of individuals and companies who have contributed towards this project over the past few years and we are pleased to announce that the new plans have been approved,” said Barbara Laubscher, the fundraising manager at the SPCA.

The facility will provide the puppies with a sterile, warm and spacious area where they will be protected from cross infection, and will receive the best possible care to allow them the healthy development and quality care they deserve.

“It is important to us that every person who has contributed be acknowledged on our Wall of Honour which will form a special part of this facility and although we have records of many individuals who have contributed there were some who made anonymous donations, or whose records we do not have for various reasons and we would like to know who you are so you can be a part of this magnificent building which will bring new hope to our most vulnerable animals,” said Laubscher.

Although the SPCA has enough funding to start the project, they are still in need of more donations to see it through to completion.
